Two-part epoxy with corrosion inhibitors for use on vertical or horizontal bare metal seams. Heavy-bodied, non-sagging, non-flowing, and easy tooling formulation for matching OEM seam sealer appearances. Paintable in 15 minutes, worktime, 8 minutes. No shrinkage or cracking. Provides a flexible seam sealer over a wide range of temperatures with no shrinking or cracking. Excellent two part sealer to duplicate OEM beads. The fast setup time allows technicians to continue repair procedures quicker increasing productivity, especially when taking advantage of the corrosion inhibiting properties that allow for application without a previous base primer coat. The light color allows for increased visibility in trunk pans and other low light locations.

3M Bare-Metal Seam Sealer is a tough, flexible sealing material formulated for sealing bare metal joints, such as steel or aluminum, as well as primed or painted metal in collision repair. Two-part, self-mixing epoxy sealer can be easily caulked, tooled or brushed into seams and cures in as little as 15 minutes. A neutral beige color, it can even require less topcoat to match OEM appearance.

The heavy-bodied sealer is formulated specifically to adhere consistently to properly prepared bare metal, such as steel or aluminum enclosures, in collision repair. It is non-sagging and non-flowing, making it easy to apply and tool to shape, for the most effective seal and to recreate the OEM seal appearance. It also contains chemical corrosion inhibitors to help prevent rust. This sealer cures in as little as 15 minutes for efficient shop time, and is fully paintable using any automotive paint system. Its neutral beige color can make painting easier and require fewer coats vs. a darker-colored sealer.

This sealer dispenses from a dual-syringe cartridge — it accurately self-mixes to deliver the strength and adhesion of a two-part epoxy system without the added time and guesswork of mixing. You get the right mix ratio for individual jobs, and consistent strength and cure speed every time. 3M™ Bare-Metal Seam Sealer can be caulked with 3M™ OEM Seam Sealer Tips including 08201, 08202, 08203, 08204 and 08205. It can also be used effectively on primed or painted metal surfaces.
