Description
Scotch-Brite Deburr & Finish Pro Unitized Wheel, DP-UW, 6C Medium+, 3 in x 1/2 in x 1/4 in, 20 ea/Case
- Fast, Consistent Results: Delivers 30–50% faster burr removal while minimizing overcutting for fewer rejects
- Long-lasting for Fewer Changeouts: Up to 3x longer wheel life in deburring applications
- Resists Loading: Minimal dust and debris buildup helps reduce cleanup time
- Center Hole Attachment: Utilize flanging or adaptors to adjust the center hole to a smaller size that fit your needs
- Made for Your Project: Perfectly suited for use on objects such as threaded pipes, rotors, shrouds, buckets, ducting titanium, turbine blades, machined parts, stainless steel, TIG weld blending, machine gears, and other components
- Putting Performance First: 4C, 6C, 8C, and 9C wheels are equipped with 3M Precision-Shaped Grain technology, offering the hardness of ceramic material combined with self-sharpening grain for longer tool life and faster results
- Choose Your Density: Available in 2S FIN for polishing and finishing; 4C MED+ for finishing and blending; 6C MED+ for blending and deburring; 8C MED+ for blending and deburring; 8C CRS+ for heavy deburring or light weld removal; and 9C XCRS+ for heavy deburring and grinding with a very aggressive cut and resistance to wear
Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel is a new wheel designed to make a variety of metalworking applications easier and more efficient for industrial professionals. Typically, abrasives excel in one area: deburring, finishing or blending. This multi-purpose wheel is unique, because it’s engineered to do all three.
The Benefits of 3M Ceramic Precision-Shaped Grain and Scotch Brite Web
Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel has all the benefits operators have come to expect from our Scotch-Brite abrasives, including load resistance and responsive open web. What sets this wheel apart from other Scotch Brite abrasives is 3M Precision-Shaped Grain. The proprietary mineral – interwoven throughout the abrasive – is engineered for hardness and strength. The sharp-cutting mineral is counteracted by soft, buoyant nylon fibers that respond to surface irregularities and contours. Gaps between fibers allow debris to escape and help minimize loading. Together, the web and mineral combine to aggressively tackle the substrate without sacrificing predictable results.
Ideal for Robotic Deburring
With a wide range of conformability options and high consistency, long-lasting Scotch-Brite industrial abrasives are a great option for robotic deburring. Scotch-Brite Deburr and Finish PRO Unitized Wheel quickly removes burrs and sharp edges in end-of-arm tooling operations, delivering consistent performance through the full life of the abrasive.
The Difference Is in the Construction
Unitized wheels differ from convolute wheels, because they feature a layered construction as opposed to being wound around a core: the open web is cured and compressed for added strength and durability. The unique production method makes unitized wheels a good match for edges and contours.
Moreover, the wheels may be run clockwise or counter-clockwise. We recommend using this wheel with the 3M Die Grinder (sold separately). For projects that require an extended wheel, 3M Extended Die Grinder (sold separately), and the 936 unitized mandrel (sold separately) are good accessories to have on hand.
